The Barracuda ATA V cannot quite keep up with the current stars from IBM and Western Digital. But the result is perfectly satisfactory, since outstanding hard disk performance is only rarely needed for business applications.
High-End Disk WinBench 99: Acceptable Result
The outcome is somewhat different with High-End Disk WinBench. Here, the Barracuda ATA V cuts a much better figure, even if it can't quite match the performance of the DeskStar 180 GXP from IBM or the WD2000JB from Western Digital.
