Back in April, Samsung surprised us all with the announcement of two new smartphones. Both phones carry the 'Galaxy Mega' moniker and are hefty phones, even by Samsung's standards, with the Galaxy Mega 5.8 featuring a 5.8-inch display and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 featuring (you guessed it) a 6.3-inch display.
Last we heard, the Galaxy Mega would be hitting the UK in May, however, it seems that May release date has now turned into a July one. UK retailer Clove reports that first stock of the I9205 16GB model is expected in July, though the exact date is still to be confirmed. That said, you can still pre-order via Clove (opens in new tab) if you're dying to be among the first Galaxy Mega owners.
The Galaxy Mega 6.3 inch features an HD display (most likely 1280 x 720), a 1.7 GHz dual core processor, an 8-megapixel camera, LTE and HSPA radios, GPS, GLONASS, up to 64 GB of storage via microSD, either 8 GB or 16 GB of onboard storage, and a 3,200 mAh to keep the whole thing running. Pricing for the super-sized phone is set at £459.99 including VAT.
