AMD reduces prices of Athlon, Sempron and Turion processors

AMD today announced price reductions for most of its mainstream and performance desktop processors. Prices declined by up to 33% for the mobile high-end ML-44 chip ($525 down to $354), 20% for the high end dual-core Athlon64 X2 4800+ ($803 to $643), 12% for the Mobile Athlon 64 4000+ and 3400+. The entry level Sempron and mobile Sempron processors experience price drops of as much as 11%.

AMD did not reduce the prices for its Opteron server and workstation processors, its flagship desktop processor FX-60 as well as several entry-level processors in the Turion, Athlon64, Mobile Athlon64, Sempron and Mobile Sempron family, according to the current price list.
