Apple to Pay Qualcomm Over $4.5B In Past Licensing Fees

According to Qualcomm’s latest earnings report released this week, Apple will pay the company between $4.5 and $4.7 billion as part of the settlement the two firms made last month.

    Call it a monopoly but there's only a few other companies investing (and risking) as much money as Qualcomm is into making 5G mobile modems a reality. They should be encouraged, not penalized.

    I think Qualcomm is doing the right thing. Apple likes to play the victim in this case, but yet they hurt right to repair advocates, other companies like Qualcomm, and their consumers all of the time.
    The problem is that 4.5b to apple is like a slap on the wrist. Since they are worth so much and overcharge for everyone.
