Blizzard Offering Diablo III Beta Keys via Facebook

Did you miss out on gaining access to the Diablo III Closed Beta? You're in luck, as Blizzard is now offering free Diablo III beta keys to fans of the game on Facebook. But the supply isn't unlimited: only 2,000 will be given away until December 12.

Unfortunately, Blizzard's sweepstakes actually started a month ago, but there's still plenty of time to gain access to the Burning Hells nonetheless.

"Starting October 17, we’ll be randomly selecting 200 winners each week to receive a key to our exclusive Diablo III beta test," the company reports on Facebook here. "In addition, we’ll also be awarding a second key to every fourth winner chosen. Drawings will occur at the end of every Monday for 8 weeks for a total 2,000 keys."

To become qualified, fans merely need to fill out an entry form and "like" Diablo on Facebook. There's also a button for spreading the good news to freinds on Facebook who may be yearning for a little early Diablo action.

Currently Diablo III is slated for a Q1 2012 release on Windows PC and Mac OS X. As previously reported, the Closed Beta is underway, but the company is now looking for an additional 2,000 players to test the servers and receive additional feedback. Beta key winners are chosen by random from a drawing, and not selected based on hardware requirements.

  • If the supply isn't limited, why are there only 2000? Also, friend, not freind. Delete this if you want, I have no idea how to e-mail you, good sir.

  • I've played the Beta, it was 2 hours of boredom and finger pain. Click spamming in a post Skyrim and World of Warcraft game industry is pathetic.

What's with the wacky regional restrictions Blizzard? Newfoundland & Labrador are allowed, Austria is allowed, but not Australia or (where I live) New Zealand? This is shaping up to be an epic fail.
I remember Master Of Orion 3 being a terribad game after the awesomeness that was M.O.O 1 & 2. I think D3 ain't looking promising.

Newfoundland and Labrador are provinces in Canada. The rest of the places you listed are countries. I'm not sure why you specified specific provinces because I'm fairly sure there would not be restrictions to particular provinces in a country for the beta.
