The first season of Hitman comes to a close in a few weeks. Square Enix and IO Interactive announced today that the game’s sixth episode will take you to Hokkaido, Japan, and it will be the hardest mission to date.
Specifically, you’ll have to infiltrate the exclusive GAMA resort, which also has a private hospital. You will need to infiltrate the facility (or go in guns blazing) and take out two targets. In addition to the main mission, the same map will play host to Elusive Targets, as well as Escalated and Featured Contracts.
Initially, the game was supposed to launch with an Intro Pack that included three locations and six campaign missions. However, the team switched to an episodic approach in order to make changes based on player feedback.
If all goes well at the end of the first season, there might be more Hitman content to come in the future. IO Interactive said that it wants two more seasons for the game. However, the second season content isn’t approved yet. If you want to wait until the first season is over to try the game, you can buy Hitman: The Complete First Season on January 31, 2017.
