Intel plans $3 billion wafer plant in Arizona
Intel said on Monday it plans to build an advanced, $3 billion semiconductor production plant in Arizona that will begin operation with in two years.
In a statement, the company said it planned to construct a new 300-millimeter (12") silicon wafer fabrication facility, to be known as "Fab 32," which will be located at its existing manufacturing site in Chandler, Arizona.
