Windows 7 Commercial Shows Strange Slideshow
It's the final countdown!
Microsoft's advertisements for Windows 7 are going to be huge. With the October 22 launch date approaching, Microsoft will be dialling up the campaigns.
In order to effectively convey the advantages of Windows 7 to the mass market, Microsoft needs to use its short TV spot seconds like it did with the Laptop Hunter campaigns – by highlighting the appreciable advantages of a product over the competition.
Windows 7 has enough new bells and whistles to make the consumer take notice. Of course, they could also just let a four year old convey the excitement instead.

hunter315 It seems microsoft is sticking to the technique that its so easy a kid can do it, problem is the kids can do it easily but all of their parents get lost. Now if they showed a 60 year old woman able to quickly figure out windows that would be something but i dont think thats possible.Reply -
p00dl3_h3r0 Windows 7 =/= happy words, directly.Reply
Windows Vista == Windows 7 Beta

AdamB5000 I wonder if we'll ever see another white person in a commercial for an American based company or product.Reply
Cute little girl, though. -
Honis Can't say I appreciate the articles title. The little girl explains quiet plainly its a "Happy Slideshow" not "Strange Slideshow."Reply -
aznguy0028 I think M$ made a very good approach in this campaign. They are addressing all the negativity of Apple Ads towards Vista during it's life, such as stability, ease of use, virues, speed security...etc.Reply
Good start/marketing if i do say so myself :) -
Major7up okaaaaay..... If I was a consumer that would not explain a damn thing to me as to why I need Win7Reply
