In addition to the 24 pixel pipes that provide a bilinear-filtered texel fillrate of 10.32 Gtexels/sec, HDR, HDTV, and host of other goodies, NVIDIA continues to use 256 bit GDDR3 at a memory clock rate of 600 MHz (or an effective 1200 mega-transfers). Theoretically, this provides a maximum bandwidth of over 38 GB/s. That is an increase of 3 GB/s over 6800 Ultra.
Scalable Link Interface - SLI
SLI is enabled the same way with the 7800 GTX
Of course NVIDIA is not going to stop with one card when they can hook two of them up together. I am not going to say much here - because nothing has changed on this front - other than to point out that the 7800 GTX can work in SLI or as two individual cards for multiple monitor support.
There are still some issues with some games and the image that is rendered, like this image from Far Cry where you can see a line where the two cards meet. One is rendering the top and the other is rendering the bottom.
Note that if you have two equal cards and you plug them into the motherboard, you still need to enable SLI in the driver.
