Spyware Blaster, Continued
The only part of SpywareBlaster that is not free is the AutoUpdate feature. For just $9.95, SpywareBlaster will automatically update itself for a year. It's a very small price for this service, and it helps the creators pay for bandwidth and future development costs. Of course, this is completely optional and the software is completely functional with or without a paid subscription to the AutoUpdate service.
Figure 8: Updates must be performed manually within SpywareBlaster unless you pay a modest subscription fee to enable the AutoUpdate feature.
Figure 9: SpywareBlaster's AutoUpdate feature offers several benefits, as displayed in the example above.
Figure 10: Purchasing the optional AutoUpdate subscription is easy and inexpensive, as shown in the example above.
SpywareBlaster is very small (less than 2.5 MB) and, unlike other anti-spyware software, it does not need to be constantly running in the background. As a result, there are no extra processes consuming memory or CPU cycles. It runs perfectly on Windows 95/98/2000/ME/NT/XP and protects the Mozilla/Netscape/Firefox/AOL browsers as well as Internet Explorer. SpywareBlaster is freeware for personal and educational use.
