Ferrari Nettop Looks Fast But Isn't Really

Computer hardware enthusiasts constantly want the fastest computer. Today we learned about the latest Intel CPU that’s the fastest one yet, but the processor itself will set you back by $1,000.

How about a computer that just looks fast? Meet the Ferrari F430 miniature, which looks fast on the outside, but only packs an Intel Atom inside. Is it all show but no go? We’re not sure, but we do spy an antenna sticking out from the rear corner. Could that mean that this thing is an RC PC? We hope to find out for ourselves soon.

Did you really expect something like this that screams gimmick to actually have much substance?

Anyone who knows Ferrari licensing knows that adding Ferrari to a product line doesn't equat anything more than a red color screen, prancing pony, and 20% price premium. Ferrari cars rock. Ferrari brand whoring unrocks!

Why did they leave the RC antenna on it? Clearly it can't be used for WiFi, and it's just unsightly.

All it needs is an alarm clock / radio in it and it would be right at home in Toys-r-us.

I'd love to take my $500 nettop out into the street and get it run over. Or smash it into walls.

The RC idea is cool...but not that smart. Well..maybe it goes to the driver.
