Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Going Public November 3

Left 4 Dead 2 will be officially hitting the PC and the Xbox 360 in just over a month on November 17, but those who preorder will get a sneak peek at the demo early on October 27.

For those of you who haven't committed to buying it just yet, you will get your demo fix on November 3 for all PC users and Xbox Live Gold members (Xbox Live Silver members will have to wait another week after).

Valve said that the Left 4 Dead 2 demo will feature gameplay taken from "The Parish" campaign, set in the New Orleans French Quarter. The demo, like the full version, will be playable by 1 to 4 players over local or Internet connections on both the Xbox 360 and PC (with two-player split screen available on the Xbox 360). The demo also features all the new boss infected zombies and all the new melee weapons included in the full product.

Mark your calendars!

Sounds like a good time! I dig the twangy feel that the gameplay videos have given.

Let's hope this demo doesn't have the same connectivity issues that the first L4D demo had.

who needs a demo for a game that's almost identical to the one released last year?

I bought this game off steam and they said they would have the demo by October 27th. What's the point of playing the demo a mere two weeks before the actual game? Oh well, it better be good.

I won't be buying this game anytime soon. i refuse to pay so much for what is essentially an expansion pack.

if valve gives it to me at 50% off i'll buy it day one...if not i'll wait then. i don't care how long it takes the price will come down one day.
