'Rocket League' Now Cross-Platform For Xbox One And PC

Game developer Psyonix announced that its popular sports-action game, Rocket League, now supports cross-platform network play between Xbox One and PC users, making it among the first Xbox One games to offer cross-network capabilities.

"We're really excited to bring Xbox One and PC players closer together," said Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Psyonix. "Cross-network play has been something that Xbox One gamers have been asking us for since the day we launched, and thanks to Microsoft's new cross-network policies, we're proud to give it to them.”

Now, Rocket League players can optionally choose to interface with players on different platforms using a toggle box in the options menu. Xbox One and PC cross-network compatibility (via Steam) is available now, and it could be considered the first peace offering in the age-old PC vs. Console war.
