Calling all Tom's Hardware Members! We need your ideas for the Tom's Hardware Holiday Gift Guide. Please submit all stocking stuffer gifts to this thread in our Components Forum. 

The holiday shopping season is just around the corner, and the Tom's Hardware Community needs your help! We all know what a difficult task it can be to find the special gift for that certain geek in your life, the last minute scramble to your nearest big box store, the breathless search online for something fresh and practical, and the notion that the perfect idea is such a mystery.

We can solve this together. Last year, Tom's Hardware published a practical-ish list of gift ideas. This year, we want to expand that list far and wide (farther, wider). We need your help, and we're soliciting your ideas early. 

We're looking for affordable gift ideas—stocking stuffers, gifts under $50, gifts under $25, nutty and funny gifts, practical gifts, and so on. We all know where to find the latest PC components (here, of course), but these gift ideas are all of the other things that enthusiasts need or don't have enough of, like thermal paste and keyboard vacs, USB drives, cable sleeves, geeky toys and books, and bling for that shiny new PC build.

We’ll be keeping this thread open and stickied throughout the pre-holiday season. When submitting, please be sure to link to the products and include the product name and pricing. Oh, and an image of the suggest product can’t hurt. We'll publish the best of these suggestions as our annual Tom's Hardware Gift Guide.

    this needs to be split into two Threads ... Gifts for girls and gifts for boys ...

    and I dont see under $50 is a good idea ... generally people waiting for gifts expect more than that in the $200 range .. $50 is easy to earn.

    Maybe my family was in the minority. but when I was younger, I NEVER got a gift worth $50, much less $200.

    I think this is more of a "gift" guide for cool things that you, as an adult, can buy for yourself, as a pc enthusiast.

    They're looking for affordable gift ideas. Obviously there are plenty of expensive tech gifts, but most of those kinds of things should be relatively obvious, and most people probably aren't going to buy only high value gifts for everyone. Especially when it comes to gifts for friends, coworkers, and so on.

    And if someone is expecting only $200 gifts, you should give them a rock instead. : P

    lol .. well $200 is Average where I grew up ... my family Holiday gifts ranged from full consoles to mobile phone , Bicycles , ipods (and sony walkman before that), Cameras , Lego , car / train / planes Models , and sport gears (most expensive) etc ..

    it is once a year and worth the wait. $50 ? come on , work in the library you can earn $50 in no time.

    OK, for $30 I have to admit, that's a pretty nice lamp.
