New 'Unreal Tournament' Build Available with DM-Chill

Epic Games' Unreal Tournament, currently in a pre-alpha state, has a new build available that features a visual overhaul of its popular Chill deathmatch map.

The new build also sees two game modes renamed and the return of the classic BigHead mutator, scaling the player's head size with their kill death ratio, as well as an assortment of bug fixes and balance changes. The Elo and ranking system has also been overhauled, with new rank badges. You can view the full changelist at the Unreal Engine wiki page.

I always liked the Agony level in the G.O.T.Y. edition. I should crank that up again...

I am a 1999 ut99 gamer, i played up to a good level of clan wars in clanbase etc, i was disappointed with ut2003 and partially with ut2004, also real life intervened etc.
At UT4 i am like a new person, at my 15 playing games again, its fun, some old friends are also testing it and damn that quality on the DM Chill is just a hint of the awesomeness of UT4 , GG keep up the good work, we will support all the way. If you play in EU Antony_Ace

Thanks for the article, I knew they were working on UT 4 and it was still very early but i didn't know the public was able to join in on the fun. I gave this a try right away and I thought it was really awesome. They have a lot of systems up and even though it's "pre alpha" it looks and runs pretty polished. The training missions are well made in my opinion with good skill use. The multiplayer sent me to fight bots which was pretty exciting, I didn't know they were bots until I saw the 0ms ping at the end. I tried Capture the flag and fought real people and it was intense. I like how the game feels a lot like the original but with small refinements everywhere. The launcher just wouldn't work at first but eventually I just left it open and eventually it prompted me to download and install an update and it worked fine after that.
