The power usage benchmark doesn’t show us any especially good news for the Gamer Dragon either, except that it uses the least amount of power under full load. At idle, it uses the most power, probably because the Phenom II is consuming higher voltage, and its overclocked state is permanent, as the system isn't benefiting from AMD’s Cool’n’Quiet feature when the CPU is overclocked.
It’s strange that the Radeon HD 4890 cards aren’t drawing more power than the GeForce GTX 260 cards in the SBM system. We postulate that this is because the GPU load test still stresses the CPU to a certain extent, and the Core i7 CPU in the SBM system is hungry under load.
