Inside The Case
Inside the case there is a very clean wiring job. Cables are twisted so they are as close together as possible. There are some that are sheathed in mesh while others use a wrap. Some of the wires are wound and zip-tied in order to keep the cords in place. The stock-clocked 2.6 GHz AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 is cooled by a Swiftech MCX64 cooler. It is a well-built cooler that dissipates heat efficiently thanks to the amount of surface area available in its design.
We witnessed the tape coming undone and suggest that Monarch use a non-conductive adhesive like a dab of silicon or hot glue to secure the sensor.
Monarch utilizes the low-latency of the Corsair TWINX2048-3500LLPRO to get every ounce of performance out of the Hornet. One of the heat sensors is mounted on one of the memory modules and the temperature is displayed on the front panel of the case.
