3D Studio Max gains 44% from a 45% CPU clock speed increase.
We don't know why, but Cinema4D came out ahead of our overclocking efforts by gaining 46% from an overclock of only 45%. Faster than real-time encoding of simple animations at middle resolutions is now possible, thanks to a great CPU and cooling system.
Our overclocking efforts proved very useful in Adobe Photoshop, providing a 45% performance gain.
AVG Antivirus gained "only" 42% from the higher processor speed, but it might have been limited slightly by mechanical hard drive technology.
WinRAR gained even less than AVG, its 33% leap possibly limited by unaltered hard drive speed.
