X2 Products Shows X2 6019 XMOD Enclosure
A Dutch manufacturer, X2 products, is introducing a new enclosure.
X2 (Spire) has introduced a new chassis, the 6019 XMOD series. This enclosure is built on a full-tower design, and thus fits up to ATX-size motherboards. The enclosure is aimed towards gamers and enthusiasts, since it also comes generously equipped. It has room for up to four optical drive bays, six 3.5" drives, plenty of room for taller CPU coolers and water cooling, as well as room for the longest of graphics cards upon removing the hard drive cage.
Included with the enclosure are three fans: two 140 blue LED lit fans, one in front and another up top; and one 120 mm fan to take care of the rear exhaust. To further aid cooling, the front of the case is primarily made of an aluminum mesh for higher air flow. Fortunately, for those who want their machine to be a little quieter, two of the fans come with switches to turn them on or off. The case also features a heat shield between the CPU and GPU spaces, preventing hot air from the GPU from rising and affecting the CPU's temperature.
Front I/O connectivity is handled by one USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports, HD audio jacks and a power button.
The company has given no indication of when the 6019 XMOD enclosure will hit retail, however, it did mention that the case comes with an MSRP of $107.95, and ships with a two-year manufacturer warranty.
