Vission Iceman Outdoor PC Dares The Elements
"Let's put things that shouldn't go in water in water," seems to be a slightly recurring theme here at the moment. Apart from Foxconn putting all their motherboards in big tubes with running water down the outer glass sheet, which only got amusing when the water stopped flowing, and others with their crush proof USB drives, Vission has the Iceman; a totally rigged, outdoor friendly computer.
The fanless computer is both dust and rain resistant, even featuring a slash resistant skirt around the connectors. Using a Via C7 1.0 GHz to 1.5 GHz processor, supporting up to 1 GB of DDR2 memory and using an MPEG-2 decoder the Iceman is good for both industrial and entertainment purposes.
Measuring 212 mm (H) x 206 mm (W) x 64 mm (D) the Iceman is wall mountable and can contain an optional wireless LAN and digital TV receiver, both via an internal USB module.
So, good for home entertainment if paired up with a projector outside and on sunny days you have a whole wall of your house to use as a TV. Good times.
