published Taiwan DRAM makers have questioned the recent warnings that research firms have made about revenue drops and oversupply for the DRAM industry next year. Gartner has predicted a 5 percent drop in revenues and 37.1 percent drop in prices for the DRAM industry in 2006, reasoning that the upcoming increase in capacity from new fabs, as well as the migration of existing plants to 90 nm process technology production will aggravate oversupply.
