Eidos' Traxxpad turns the PSP into a keyboard, drums
Eidos Interactive wants PSP owners to harness their musical powers with its new Traxxpad software. Traxxpad turns Sony's popular handheld game device into a music keyboard, drum machine and sequencer. Users can create, mix and sample tracks on the go and even helps out amateur musicians by tweaking tones to the nearest note.
Users will be able to assign more than 1000 stock sound effects to the various keys of the PSP. If those effects aren't enough, additional sounds can be sampled through the PSP's microphone. After the user is finished with making the song, the music can be exported into a .wav or .mp3 file.
Eidos plans on releasing Traxxpad in the spring. No pricing has been announced.
