Tt eSports' Poseidon-Z Mechanical Keyboard Offers Value

Thermaltake's eSports team has announced its new Poseidon Z mechanical gaming keyboard, and unlike many mechanical keyboards, it is actually quite affordable.

The keyboard features a fairly standard base design, though features adjustable LED backlighting, N-Key rollover, media keys, and a disable windows-key button.

Thermaltake will release two versions of the keyboard – one with Tt eSPORTS certified mechanical blue switches, and another with Tt eSPORTS certified mechanical brown switches. Both the keyboards will carry a five-year manufacturer warranty, which is quite generous, especially considering the price point.

The keyboard will hit shelves this month in the U.S. with an MSRP of $79.99. While this is still pricey for a keyboard, for a mechanical keyboard it is actually quite reasonable. No word on availability elsewhere yet.

I wonder if they will offer it with red LEDS if so I might pick this over the corsair keyboard they showed at CES. I like the simple clean layout with out all the un needed frills.

Bought my non Z for $89 in Canada. I don't think the Z actually uses Cherry MX switches.

Hmm Razer makes a cheaper board. It's not a fullsize though.
