'Time Machine VR' Getting April Launch On Rift And Vive (Update: Available Now)

Update, 5/19/16, 7:15am PT: Minority Media announced that Time Machine VR is now available on both Rift (on the Oculus Store) and Vive (on Steam) for $29.99. It will launch on PSVR "later this year."

Minority Media Inc., a game studio based in Montreal, Canada, announced that Time Machine VR will leave “Early Access” in April this year. The company said that Time Machine VR was one of the very first made-for-VR titles available through Steam’s “Early Access” program. The early release of the game launched in 2015 and was playable on Oculus Rift DK2, but now that the retail hardware is launching, the company is ready to unleash the full game.

In Time Machine VR, you're a time traveler in search of a cure for an ancient plague that is afflicting humanity. You will find prehistoric creatures and plant life in the Earth’s oceans during the Jurassic period, and you will have to analyze their DNA and observe their behavior in search of the cure you’ve been tasked to find. Minority Media said you will unlock more creatures as you upload the data from what you’ve uncovered, and you’ll be able to interact with the creatures you discover.

Time Machine VR will launch in April. Minority Media said the game is compatible with both the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive.
