The Penny Arcade Expo 2011 (PAX East '11) Experience

More Magic

Card and board games at PAX are a big thing. There's no shortage of sections throughout the convention floor where you'll find vendors selling card games, and gamers themselves plowing through epic battles throughout the day.

Check Out This Magic Collection

The above are considered rare and special Magic cards...all available for a price, of course.

Kalypso Booth

Newegg's At PAX

Even Newegg has a booth at PAX, loaded with gaming systems. While the booth is quite small compared to other companies, the brand is so well known that people are always coming by (whether to order stuff or play games, we don't know).

Logitech

Logitech showed off its most popular gaming keyboards and mice.

We'll be covering several hardware companies tomorrow, so look out for reports on actual devices.

Cone-Heads

We think at least a third or more of all the people walking around PAX today had Plants Vs. Zombies pylons on their heads.

Civilization Card Game

Card games are serious business.

More To Come

Day 2 at PAX is about to kick off. We'll be hitting more of the show and taking pictures of products this time. You'll get to see all the swank giveaways, gear, and goodies you missed by not attending the show.

These slideshows are terrible. Can Toms use ajax or something so we dont have to scroll down 40 times to see 40 new pages.

*Sigh* We're working on it. I agree that the current format sucks to navigate through. I've been encouraging the idea of using a different format for more than a year now. There's an AJAX version coming that won't require refreshing the page AND still allow blowing up the images. I think you'll like it a lot better!

I guess I'm the first to comment on the snipe at Alienware. Good job Toms. And you're right, we readers absolutely can build a better rig than Alienware and 400-1000 cheaper!
