The Penny Arcade Expo 2011 (PAX East '11) Experience

More Kinect

More awkward looking body gestures at the Kinect area.

Magic The Gathering

Magic The Gathering indeed had a huge gathering of people. The game was originally card-based, but now has a huge following on the PC and console as well.

Nexon Booth

PAX Gear On Sale

You can't come to PAX without buying some gear. We saw t-shirt booths, an endless supply of giveaways from vendors, and other booths selling must-haves gizmos like "Sackboy" from Little Big Planet fame. We had to buy one of those!

Warner Brothers Games

WB Games actually had a pretty large area at PAX, showing off several games.

More Dungeons

No, it's actually just a booth, not a maze. Too bad.

StarCraft 2

StarCraft 2 running on three large screens. We're not really fans of those bezels through the playing field, though.

Alienware Competition

Inside the Alienware "Cage," players compete to win prizes, which also happen to be fully-configured Alienware gaming PCs.

Alienware Tunnel

Getting into "the Cage" requires that you pass through a dark hallway with the latest Alienware gear.

*Sigh* We're working on it. I agree that the current format sucks to navigate through. I've been encouraging the idea of using a different format for more than a year now. There's an AJAX version coming that won't require refreshing the page AND still allow blowing up the images. I think you'll like it a lot better!

I guess I'm the first to comment on the snipe at Alienware. Good job Toms. And you're right, we readers absolutely can build a better rig than Alienware and 400-1000 cheaper!
