NVIDIA nForce4 Intel Edition (PCI Express)
nForce4 Intel Edition is NVIDIA's attempt to conquer the high-end Intel platform market. Although this one has always been dominated by Intel chipsets, the foundation is quite good, since NVIDIA comes with the integrated Ethernet firewall called ActiveArmor, an elaborated storage subsystem based on four SATA II ports and with RAID 5 support. Performance-wise, the DDR2 memory controller of nForce4 IE manages to outperform Intel's chipset in many disciplines.
