SiS 755FX (AGP)
The 755FX is not the most popular, but a powerful and quite a common chipset for Athlon 64. It comes with all the basic features one needs today, but cannot keep pace with SiS756 or NVIDIA nForce4 any more today. Exchanging the regular south bridge SiS964 by the 965 part will introduce four rather than two SATA ports and a Gigabit Ethernet controller.
