Toshiba delays HD DVD launch

published Toshiba has announced a delay to the launch of its HD DVD players until the first quarter of next year, a move that may see the technology hit the market at around the same time as Sony's rival Blu-ray system.
The delay stems from issues with the Advanced Access Content System (AACS) digital rights management software being used on the discs.
