EA Opens 'Star Wars: Battlefront' Closed Alpha Signups To Select Few

Star Wars: Battlefront is arguably one of the most anticipated titles of the year -- you can check out our gameplay demo from E3 here -- but so far we've only been shown PS4 footage. Now, however, PC fans have been given reason to gloat.

Signups for the closed alpha have just begun, and this one is PC exclusive. The testing period is only available to select Origin accounts. Only a limited number of accounts will be selected, but you have to go through the application process to see if you are eligible.

If you are not eligible, you'll know right away, as a message will appear apologizing before you can even fill out the form: "Sorry, but you do not have access to the Star Wars Battlefront closed alpha," it reads. EA also said this on its forums: "Players were chosen at random, unfortunately there's nothing players can do to increase their chances."

To see if your account has been selected, you can check right here. Good luck!

I have the ability to sign up, but I think I'll pass and just wait for the final product.

Best of luck to all of you who want to give it a try, though.

I'll just see EA branded on it and not buy it. Don't buy EA, don't buy Activision.

I'm going to skip this too, I hate installing games that I'm only going to uninstall five minutes later.

That's one way to limit yourself. I'm guessing if they created the best game ever you wouldn't buy it?

I was lucky enough to get in on the Alpha. I played Battlefront 1 & 2 to death, and I've been a big Battlefield fan.

    I'm hoping they don't disappoint.

I hope I will geht a sneak peep before the release.
I will hold it the same way as with Windows 10.
I wait until the product is finished and the first neutral reports come in and will decide then if I will buy it or not.
