Tom's Hardware Benchmark Charts and Database Updated

Another month has gone by and our hard-working team has made numerous new updates to our hardware testing charts. Most notable for this update is the new AMD Radeon HD 7970. Peep all the new additions at the links below!

Marcus Yam served as Tom's Hardware News Director during 2008-2014. He entered tech media in the late 90s and fondly remembers the days when an overclocked Celeron 300A and Voodoo2 SLI comprised a gaming rig with the ultimate street cred.

love the new charts! Thanks for all the work!

In time could you ad a dB rating on things like HDDs? it is an important metric for many people when choosing parts for a system. A spinning idle, and a read/write measurement would be nice.

__-_-_-__you can always reduce noise to zero. imo it's hardly a choosing factor.reducing noise at the cost of performance is not an option, and some drives are noticeably louder than others, especially in smaller systems where you only have a silent CPU fan, and a silent PSU fan.
