Salt Lake City (UT) - One of the big changes to the interface in Windows Vista is the addition of Mac OS-like gadgets, which offer increased functionality for the dekstop screen.
Little-known company FranklinCovey's PlanPlus 5.1 productivity application has been updated for the new operating system that launched today, with the addition of a gadget that fits in the Vista sidebar to show a task list that is always available in the desktop view.
It becomes one of only a handful of independent companies to integrate the Vista sidebar functionality into an existing software product for the OS launch. The company's Outlook management application, PlanPlus 4.1 for Microsoft Outlook, will also add a sidebar gadget in an update currently scheduled for February.
FranklinCovey offers a 30-day trial of its software. Both titles retail for $100, and the Vista update is available now.
