Blizzard Opens Writing Contest for WoW, SC, Diablo
Get your fan fiction on.
Do you lie awake at night, thinking of the armies of the Scourge, or perhaps you sleep while dreaming of the zerg Swarm, or perhaps you daydream about the Burning Hells? If so, this could be a chance for you to commit some of that into your word processor and win a trip to Blizzard.
As it did last year, Blizzard has now opened up a 2010 Global Writing Contest, where it will accept short story submissions from 2,500- to 7,500-word short story written in English and set in the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo universe.
The grand prize story teller will win a trip to Blizzard's headquarters in southern California, as well as a choice of a Diablo III "OVERTHROWN" barbarian diorama or a Frostmourne sword.
The contest is open mostly worldwide, but be sure to read through the official rules before you commit your art to words.

Bring the game, Blizzard. Now. -
stromm I got a better idea for a "Blizzard" article. How about doing one about their "real ID" crap. Like how they're going to make anyone who posts on their forum use their REAL NAME!!! It's just another step into a dicey world from when they started making everyone change their account name to their email address. Way to go Bliz.Reply -
Petey1013 I think you mean way to go Activision. I'm pretty sure everyone can agree anything evil coming out of that camp is the direct result of Kotick.Reply -
mlcloud The story that won the 2009 contest is really impressive. Here I was thinking I'd try my hand at a story, but after reading that, I understand I'm completely outclassed here.Reply
