As stated earlier, ATI did not want to lie down when they had the opportunity to take a shot at the midrange newcomer. In response to the GeForce 7600GT, ATI has unleashed the X1800GTO. This new chip is like their previous GTO classification chips. Like the Radeon X800GTO, the X1800GTO is designed around a scaled down version of an existing chip. In this instance, it uses the R520.
