Color Laser Printers at Bargain Prices
HP LaserJet 2600n
Designed by Canon for HP, the LaserJet 2600n is surely the most original entry-level color laser printer. First of all because despite its low price, it's a true one-pass model, with the same performance in monochrome and in color. And then because it's the only one (with the Dell 3000cn) with a network interface as standard.
Ergonomics And Functions
The LaserJet 2600n's small footprint will appeal to many people. It weighs only 39.6 lbs. (18 kg), which makes it a true lightweight compared to the competition. Its architecture, which puts all the cartridges on top, also considerably simplifies the paper path, which reduces the risk of paper jams inherent in four-pass models.
There's a mini LCD display on the lid that shows all the printing parameters. Like the Canon LBP-5200, the LaserJet 2600n has the ODFS function - called Instant-On Fusing here -which all but eliminates warm-up time at startup and when coming out of standby mode. Finally, it has the lowest power consumption, at only 190 Watts under normal use.

chrisbak Your image (laser2.gif) is an excellent animation of an LED printhead in action. Can I use it in some material I am putting together for Xerox, or is there a copyright on it.Reply
