GeForce 7950 GX2 - SLI on a Single Card
Test Setup & Benchmarks Results
It is hard to think of this as a single card, since there are two circuit boards coupled together, but if this is the form factor for graphics cards of the future, we must accept what we see as one card. Looks aside, the GeForce 7950 GX2 is a very powerful graphics card that can best all existing cards on the market. This is to be expected since there is twice as much of everything ; all other cards only have one GPU and a single set of memory modules.
You will notice that the XFX 570M XXX version of the GeForce 7950GX2 is overclocked compared to Nvidia’s launch clock specification. We left this as is, since this is how the card would be purchased.
One other thing we would like to point out is that most motherboards will require a BIOS flash. Most boards do not recognize the PCIe switch that Nvidia uses on the GX2 series boards, even though that is part of the PCIe standard. Until recently, most companies have not produced consumer products utilizing this kind of device.
