Mobile and Attractive: External Hard Disks from Maxtor and Seagate

Seagate External Hard Drive 160 GB

Because it comes without the elaborate aluminum casing, the Seagate is 1.23 kg lighter than the Maxtor drive. It looks more like a portable CD case than a hard disk drive. The connections, on the other hand, create a better impression, as does the eye-catching plastic foot provided with the drive.

And surprise, surprise: the Seagate drive is also stackable, thanks to a circular bulge on one side and the matching depression on the other. All the connections are neatly arranged at the back, and the power supply is provided as a separate unit, as is the norm.
