Samsung proposes LCD size standard
Samsung Electronics called for the standardization of LCD glass sizes among display makers worldwide and has proposed new mother glass substrate size standard for next-generation liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
Lee Sang-wan, president of Samsung Electronics LCD Business, Tuesday emphasized the need for LCD makers to globally standardize the sizes of large TV display products with 40", 46", 52" and 57" diagonal measurements.
