Annual Review: Six Gamepads
Logitech Dual Action Pad
Get the feeling you've seen this somewhere before? Logitech got its inspiration for the Dual Action PC from the official Playstation 2 pad. This is a sensible idea when you come to think about it. PC pads are popular, especially those that use the features of consoles, so why not copy the most famous console? The blue plastic is not very attractive, though, and is not really worthy of this exceptionally successful pad.
It has exactly the same features as the PS2 - four triggers in front, four command buttons and the function buttons in the middle, the D-pad and two analog sticks. It is a good fit for the hand and great to hold. Button access is intuitive and handling the sticks is a real pleasure and never tiring. They obviously went deeply into shape and position design and it shows in the handling.
