The New Arms Race: DDR3-1800 RAM

Benchmark Results

We decided not to include a lot of systems for wide comparison, because the fact that you overclock the processor, the system bus and the main memory brings in multiple parameters that all will vary. Rather, we tested both modules at DDR3-1800 speed (450 MHz FSB and an 1:2 memory ratio) and their specified timing settings, and compared the results to a benchmark run we performed at close to DDR3-1333 speed and CL9-9-9-24 JEDEC-compliant timings. OCZ's PC3-14400 DIMMs perform very close to Corsair's DDR3-1800 Dominator when overclocked to DDR3-1900.
