Overclocking
We decided to see if the card could be pushed beyond its specifications, and if so, by how much. The first image shows the clock speeds out of the box.
The second is the overclock that we were able to sustain; we managed to push out an additional 38 MHz on the memory and 61 MHz on the core. That represents an additional 5.75% clock speed on the memory and 13.5% on the core.
While running at those frequencies we tested 3DMark05 at the default settings and obtained a score of 8198 marks, an improvement of 12% over stock. That boost makes it perform better than a stock GeForce 7800GTX.
