The benchmark for 3D Studio Max offers a balanced distribution of wireframe models as well as a texture/ shading display.
The 3D Studio Max application benchmark demands better graphics performance of the products. The Nvidia model is right up at the top of the league.
What's decisive for the user, though, is the total running time of the benchmarks. Other variables play a role here, such as the CPU load, for example. Through intelligent driver programming, for the first time, the ATi developers were able to launch the FireGL X1 into top place - thanks to lower CPU capacity utilization.
