Tul Adds GDDR4 Memory To HD 3870 X2 Graphics Card

Tul said it is using 1 GB of 1126 MHz GDDR4 memory for its PowerColor HD 3870 X2 graphics card. Common 3800 X2 graphics cards currently use 1 GB GDDR3 memory. According to memory manufacturer Samsung, GDDR4 memory devices are up to 70% faster than GDDR3 devices.
Pricing and availability have not been announced.
