This is yet another application for which the Intel Pentium 4 was optimized. The Athlon 64 FX-51 lags by 25.6 percent, whereas the little Athlon 64 falls behind by 45.3 percent. Sensation: the Athlon XP 3200+ is faster in this test than the Athlon 64 3200+. The reason is obvious: higher clock speed.
