Test System

We chose Prime95 as the software for the stress test. It is normally used to calculate prime numbers. These calculations place such a heavy load on the processor that the tool is excellent for these measurements. Prime95 has special benchmark modes for the load tests.

Thermal Resistance

In order to achieve better comparisons of thermal resistance with the Intel boxed cooler, we used HTK-002 (High Performance), the thermal compound from Coolermaster, for both coolers. The Intel cooler was additionally measured with the thermal compound certified by Intel.
