Six Athlon Boards With The KT600 Chipset
Soyo KT600 Dragon Ultra, Continued
Raising the FSB clock speed produces an impressively high memory performance of almost 3.1 GB/s. No competitive advantages were ascertained in practice, however. During operation, the switching regulators scarcely heat up in the old construction since a three-phase voltage regulator is used. The large labeling on the board's connections and pins deserves mentions, even if it doesn't follow any particular color scheme. Delivery includes cables for Serial ATA (as well as the corresponding voltage adapters) and connection panels. The smart thing about the Soyo package is that it comes with a card reader for all common memory formats.
The Soyo package
Chip for six-channel audio
The RAID controller for Serial ATA is supplied by Silicon Image
A rarity in this test field: Gigabit LAN
Handy bonus: Card reader for all common formats
Three-phase regulator

In brief: Luxurious features for a higher price and average performance - that's how we sum up the Soyo with KT600 chipset. Although $165 (€149) isn't peanuts, this board should be considered if you think you could use the features it comes with.
