Case Master's Ultracool II Digital

Regulated Coolness: Case Master Ultracool II Digital

The idea behind this device is simple. Instead of leaving the monitoring and regulating of temperatures and fans up to the mainboard, the Ultracool II does the job. This gives the user a greater measure of control over the fans' speeds and thereby over the systems overall noise level. This is achieved through a little device that fits into a 5.25" drive bay on the front of the case.

Made of high-quality aluminum, the Ultracool II is a real eye-catcher. Of course, this will only fit in with the rest of your system if your case is made of aluminum as well. The controls on the front are also very robust and of high quality.

Even beginners should have no trouble with the installation. Simply pick a free drive bay, take off the cover, and you're good to go. The first thing you will notice when the Ultracool II becomes operational is its blue-lit multi-functional display.

A total of three fans can be attached to the back of the Ultracool II, one each for the CPU, a hard drive and a system fan. Case Master also thought to include a drive activity LED - a detail users with a second HDD controller will surely appreciate. Also, each of the fans comes with a temperature sensor, which should obviously be placed as near to the corresponding fan as possible.
