Installing The Cooling Element Of The Compressor Unit
Spacer brackets for Intel Pentium III (left) and AMD Athlon XP. An old Athlon with the Thunderbird core can also be used.
That'll work, too: overclocking the Intel Celeron with the Coppermine core.
Creates the contact between the CPU die and the cooling head: a thin layer of thermal grease. If this is smeared on too thick, then the thermal resistance worsens.
Included in the package: insulation made of natural rubber. This comes in a roll, can only be worked with at room temperature and has characteristics similar to a gob of clay. A positive aspect: the rubber can be used multiple times and leaves no trace on the hardware. At low temperatures (during operation), the rubber stiffens and cannot be removed.
