Newspaper Leaks Supposed Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Specs
Korean newspaper claims to have the scoop on the Galaxy Note 2 specs.
Earlier this month Samsung unveiled and launched the Galaxy Note 10.1, a 10-inch version of its successful Galaxy Note tablet (pictured). Now, we're not ones to turn our noses up at a brand new tablet, but there's another Note that's got our attention: The Galaxy Note 2.
The South Korean company spoke of plans to announce the Galaxy Note 2 on August 29 at its Samsung Mobile Unpacked event. Despite this event being all but upon us, it seems the specs for the device may have been leaked a little bit early.
Seoul Newspaper claims to have the full specs for the Galaxy Note 2, with the paper reporting that the phone/tablet will boast a a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 AMOLED display, 4G LTE connectivity, 16GB or 32GB of storage, an 8-megapixel camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The specs seem to gel with previous rumors of a 5.5-inch display, as well as a faster CPU. No word on release date or pricing but we're sure to hear more about that later in the week. Samsung Mobile Unpacked is set to take place on Wednesday, August 29 at IFA Berlin.

Keep in mind this is rumor, I am sure you can wait one more day.
My other half has a Note and its a lovely bit of kit. Better for girls really with their handbags.
I doubt a .2" increase from 5.3 would make that much of a difference... that might be screensize and not actual handset size... the S3 is barely any bigger than a skyrocket in terms of height and width
The Note2 is a bit smaller than the original Note. 1280x720 vs 1280x800 which means it is 80 pixels narrower and about 3/8" physically narrower because of the smaller bezel and the reported use of the new Corning Willow glass. It will be the same length as the original all while having a longer screen. This means it will be easier for people with smaller hands.
