The audio encoding results are just as close as the gaming results. The Solaris PCs are neck and neck with their counterparts. The only tidbit of note is that Lame and Ogg clearly have no quad-core optimizations, while the higher clockspeed dual-core CPUs beat the quads.
Applications

No differences to speak of in 3dsMAX 8, although we can certainly see the benefits of quad-core CPUs in this benchmark.
